BBC World's not a bad choice as I don't think it's changed for quite a while,It's always fun if you use a particular tp or channel and it changes (even) while you are installing a sat system. That can happen and hopefully that's all it is. (You can't really miss Hotbird).Years ago I was installing an old school heavy 36v motorised Sat system. Set up on the ground and taken up to the pole. In those days we'd use analogue to setup. It was very accurate and in many ways more accurate.

Aug 10, 2009  A dual meter, but I think more oriented to 2 single-satellite satellite dishes combined to form one signal, as in one dish at 111.1 and the other at 107.3. I'm not going to set that up at this time because I don't have enough mounting points, so I don't know if it can do the oval or will tune the Anik satellites. They switched off a key transponder 'as' it was carried up the ladder. All the settings on the 36v polarmount / actuator were altered until the only conclusion was. It had just been switched off. From that day it teaches you to check other tps / channels etc 1st! Thanks for replies guys. Here is an update.Contacted Maxpeak via email to check if their tp's are up to date. Also enquired about sending my meter back for a service or repair.

STILL waiting for a reply.I downloaded the firmware again to my meter and updated tp's again, they list 6 different tp's for hotbird, but after much messing about and trying everything I know I got a signal using their tp #718 Vertical Low. Fowler sylvac ultra digit mark iv manual. I got a great signal, about 95% strength and 100% quality (don't know about BER as my meter doesn't show that). So now sent Maxpeak another email asking them if the other 5 tp's are out of date?Just waiting for response now, might be a while.?Thanks anywayDave.
